Customer update on BEW branches

BEW Customer Update on COVID-19 and Branch Services

As at 27th March 2020

In accordance to the UK Government directive, with immediate effect, BEW will be servicing contractors who are supporting vital supply chains within the construction industry as a priority, until further direction is given from the government.

In order to protect staff and customers coming into contact with each other we are initiating non-contact delivery and collections at all branches.

This action is necessary to continue to supply contractors requiring essential supplies.  Examples are, but not limited to, maintaining:

  • Public services  (i.e. local authorities/councils, prisons, emergency services and education sector)

  • Utilities   (i.e. water/sewage facilities, gas, and communications networks)

  • Critical Infrastructure  (i.e. power stations, distribution networks and MOD sites)

  • Health Authorities  (i.e. NHS and social care - protection of the vulnerable)

  • Transport network  (i.e. Network Rail, Highways England, port authorities and TfL)

Please telephone or email your local branch, which is listed here.  If you think you have an essential need for supplies, not listed above, please telephone us to discuss. For some branches, the telephones are being monitored remotely and they will respond as quickly as possible.

If you cannot contact the branch then please email: [email protected]

We are continuing to monitor this fast-moving situation and to strike the delicate balance of supporting essential infrastructure supply chains and complying with government directives.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Stay safe and well.

Kind regards.
